Use it to preserve what is yours.

Retro Save Portability is a file-preservation utility for saves from legally owned games. It is not an emulator, launcher, ROM source, DRM-circumvention tool, or cloud backup.

Your responsibility

You choose every scanned source and restore destination. Keep the original save until you have opened the game and confirmed the restored progress. Compatibility warnings are evidence-based guidance, not a guarantee: emulators, cores, regions, game revisions, firmware, and memory-card layouts differ.

Keeper purchase

Keeper costs $19 as a one-time license and adds reusable device labels and a local transfer journal. Scanning, bundles, restore, accessibility, export, and safety checks remain free. Sociobot/Dodo is merchant of record and handles payment and refunds. A refunded, expired, revoked, or wrong-product license will no longer unlock Keeper.

Software license

The source code is provided under the MIT License. Installers may be unsigned until platform certificates are configured; verify release checksums and follow the documented operating-system prompts.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is”, without warranty. To the extent allowed by law, the authors are not liable for lost data or indirect damages. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

Acceptable use

Do not use the product to distribute copyrighted games or BIOS files, evade access controls, or access files you do not have permission to handle.
